CBA-NT committees
The Executive Committee advises the CBA-NT and helps guide our activities.
The NWT Access to Justice Committee has set targets and a timeline to identify barriers, share information, make recommendations, consult and put measures in place to improve access to justice in the Northwest Territories.
The Joint Working Group to Respond to the Truth and Reconciliation Committee’s Calls to Action brings together the CBA-NT and the Law Society of the NWT. Together, we are advising our executives on how to respond to the Calls to Action and we are identifying and proposing acts of reconciliation.

This CBA Subcommittee fosters and advances ethical and professional conduct and standards in the legal profession.
The Judicial Issues Subcommittee addresses policy issues relating to judicial appointments, compensation, discipline and independence.
To meet the needs of a rapidly changing profession, the CBA Legal Futures Initiative focuses on the future legal marketplace and changes to the way we practice law.
